SIGMA BETA LEADERSHIP CHARTER SCHOOL APPLICATION TO OPERATE A CHARTER SCHOOL IN ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS
To: Rockford Public Schools District #205
We, the undersigned, fully believe that the Sigma Beta Leadership Charter School will be a great benefit to the children and families of the Rockford Public School District. It will directly address the plight of our community’s young men while expanding the academic and social opportunities available to them. Not only will the Sigma Beta Leadership Charter School provide a much needed change of environment for young men but will focus on young men that are underserved in our community. The students who attend the school will receive a rigorous college preparatory education that includes small group mentoring, a focus on developing leadership skills, a structured environment, and a consistent culture of high expectations.
We, the undersigned, fully respect and request that the Rockford Public Schools approve the Sigma Beta Leadership Charter School’s application to operate in Rockford beginning in the fall of 2010.
